Crepes with Gooseberries and Powdered Sugar Recipe

For a sweet and tangy breakfast or dessert, fill these delicious crepes with fresh gooseberries and a light dusting of powdered sugar.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, milk, eggs, melted butter, and salt.
  • Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • When the skillet is hot, pour about 1/4 cup of the pancake batter into it, swirling it around to make an even layer.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the edges begin to curl and the bottom of the pancake is golden brown.
  • Using a spatula, flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  • To make more crepes, repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Fill each pancake with a handful of fresh gooseberries before folding or rolling it up.
  • Just before serving, dust the top with powdered sugar.
